Shipping from China to New Zealand The Packaging requirement

⒈The packaging of the goods must be firm, intact and light, and can prevent the packaging from breaking, leakage and loss of the contents during transportation.

⒉The shape of the package should fit the type, status and weight of the products, and be convenient for handling, loading and unloading and stacking.

3. The packaging of special goods carried under specific conditions shall meet the specific requirements for each goods, such as animals, fresh and perishable goods, etc.

⒋For extra small packets (such as small samples), a certain volume of wooden boxes or carton packaging must be added (with filler pads, etc.), and the total volume length, width and height of the entire goods after packaging shall not be less than 40cm, while the smallest side shall not be less than 5cm.

⒌The filling materials (such as sawdust and paper scraps) in the package cannot be leaked.

⒍If the packaging of the goods does not meet the requirements, an explanation should be given to the consignor, and the consignor should be required to modify or repackage the goods before shipment.


Special packaging requirements for some goods:

*For heavy or valuable items such as pianos, ceramics, handicrafts, etc., please pack them in wooden boxes.

1) For shipping to countries like the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, and many other countries, they have strict regulations on unprocessed logs or log packaging. The wooden boxes must be fumigated in the original exporting country, and an approved fumigation certificate must be presented together with the import certificate. Otherwise, fines will be applied and the goods will be returned to the original exporting country.

2) European countries requires the wooden packaging must come with the certificate which showed the box is proof from pest damage.

3) The processed wooden furniture does not need to be fumigated.

* Items commonly used in daily life, such as books and various utensils, can be packed in sturdy cardboard boxes, and it is best to do moisture-proof treatment.

*It's recommended to fill the fragile items with essential filling materials to avoid damage.

4) Place a layer of waterproof supplies (such as plastic bags, cloth, etc.) in the carton if possible.

*Place the light and heavy items in a reasonable combination for easy handling.

* The box should be filled with filing materials such as paper, paper towels, small clothes, etc., to prevent the items in the box from being damaged by flipping and colliding with each other during the moving process.

*Liquid cargo. There must be a 5-10% gap inside the container, and the lid must be flat and tight; no spillage.

*Powdered goods. It should be ensured that the powder does not leak out.

*Precision fragile, brittle and fragile goods. The gross weight of a single piece of goods should not exceed 25 kilograms. Multi-level packaging, hanging packaging, anti-inversion packaging, and glassware packaging can be used.
